What You’ll Do

1. Own end-to-end AI services — data curation, model training, packaging, deployment, and monitoring.
2. Build scalable NLP pipelines that extract structured biomedical facts from unstructured literature.
3. Fine-tune domain-specific transformer models (BioBERT, PubMedBERT) and instruction-tuned LLMs for retrieval-augmented generation and reasoning.
4. Integrate document-vision models (LayoutLM, Donut, DocTR) for PDF parsing and table extraction.
5. Optimize inference latency and cost via quantization, batching, and token budgeting.
6. Ship robust microservices on AWS/GCP/Azure using Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC.
7. Instrument observability dashboards (latency, drift, cost) and automate blue-green releases.

What You Bring

1. 5+ years building production ML or data systems, 2+ years in NLP or LLMs.
2. Expert Python & PyTorch; deep experience with Hugging Face.
3. Proven record shipping cloud-native services that handle sensitive or regulated data.
4. Fluency in microservices, API design, and distributed data processing.
5. Startup DNA — ownership, speed, and comfort with ambiguity.

Nice-to-Have

1. Biomedical ontologies, clinical-trial datasets, or wearable-sensor data.
2. MLOps tools (MLflow, W&B, DVC) for lineage and experiment tracking.
3. GPU scheduling, ONNX/TorchScript, and low-precision inference.
