Beal University is hiring a full-time Program Director for its fully online Addiction Counseling Programs. Beal University offers Diploma, Associates, Bachelor's in Addiction Counseling and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health. Each of these programs is designed to provide the student with practical foundation for a career in addiction counseling services.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibility of the Addiction Counseling Program Director is to provide leadership and counsel to faculty, staff, and students. This includes program development, planning, implementation, oversight, evaluation, and accreditation. The Program Director has the authority to manage the administrative responsibilities of the Addiction Counseling program. The Program Director monitors trends in Addiction education and ensures adherence to federal, state and University regulations, maintains accreditation standards and establishes strategic partnerships. The Program Director collaborates with the Academic Dean to maintain a long-term vision for the Addiction Counseling program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The Addiction Counseling Program Director must have:

1. A Doctorate in Counseling
2. Must have graduated from a CACREP accredited institution
3. Must have a valid counseling license
4. Educational preparation or experience in teaching and learning principles including curriculum development, accreditation, and administration are essential
5. Experience with the accreditation process a plus
6. Must have a minimum of 4 years experience working as a licensed counselor
7. Must have at least 3 years teaching experience, online delivery method preferred
8. Previous supervisory experience
9. The applicant must also have demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
10. A collaborative work style and time management skills is essential.
11. Experience in utilizing Canvas, online learning management system, is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Addiction Counseling Program Director will oversee the recruitment, hiring, orientation, development and evaluation of all faculty. The Program Director will ensure that the Addiction Counseling program is in compliance with the University accreditor's rule and regulations, and will work with the Addiction Counseling faculty in curriculum revisions/development.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
