Account Manager / Senior Account Manager — UX/UI & Digital Experience Practice
Hybrid: Local to our US Office locations.
We are actively hiring Account Manager and Senior Account Manager professionals to support and expand our partnerships with some of the largest and most well-established companies in the local market — with a focus on our growing UX/UI and Digital Experience staffing practice. We have the relationships and the talent pipeline. We just need strong relationship builders to take it to the next level.
Why Join Us?
- You'll have access to established relationships and delivery resources, including a bench of pre-vetted UX/UI talent across research, design, and product disciplines
- Autonomy, flexibility, and full support to build your territory within a high-demand, specialized market
- Opportunity to grow with a high-performing, collaborative sales culture at a company investing heavily in its digital and creative practice
This position offers a competitive base salary, determined based on the candidate's background and experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), employer-paid short-term disability, voluntary life insurance, unlimited paid time off, and more.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Driving new client relationships across IT staffing and services, with a specialization in UX/UI, product design, and digital experience roles — including UX Researchers, UI/Visual Designers, UX Strategists, Interaction Designers, Design Systems Specialists, and Product Designers
- Reigniting and expanding existing accounts with untapped potential, particularly within digital transformation, e-commerce, SaaS product, and enterprise application initiatives
- Growing headcount in existing approved client groups by identifying hiring needs across the full UX/UI talent spectrum — from contract and contract-to-hire to direct placement
- Working cross-functionally with recruiting and delivery teams to align talent pipelines with client design maturity and team structure
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients on-site, at design community events, and at industry gatherings (e.g., UX conferences, local UXPA chapter events, product meetups)
- Understanding client business and digital/IT initiatives, including their design systems, product development lifecycle, and UX maturity, to provide proactive workforce planning
- Creating and executing strategies to gain account intelligence and develop business with new and existing clients — including mapping org structures across design, product, engineering, and marketing to identify decision-makers and budget holders
- Expanding the client base through networking, cold calling, and relationship development in assigned territory — including client entertainment through meetings, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and events
- Serving as a credible, consultative partner to clients navigating the competitive UX/UI talent market, including advising on market rates, role scoping, and candidate evaluation
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive with a solutions-based, consultative staffing sales background — experience placing or selling within creative, digital, or UX/UI disciplines strongly preferred
- Familiarity with UX/UI roles, titles, and skillsets, including an understanding of the difference between user research, interaction design, visual/UI design, content design, and design operations
- Working knowledge of common design tools and platforms (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Maze, etc.) sufficient to evaluate candidate profiles and speak credibly with hiring managers
- Awareness of how UX/UI teams are structured within product, marketing, and IT organizations — and the ability to navigate those org dynamics to uncover staffing needs
- Proven capability to drive sales; ability to prospect new accounts and create a strong value proposition for the client
- Strong communicator — oral, written, and presentation — with the ability to translate design talent capabilities into business value for non-design stakeholders
- Strong influencer through being proactive, creative, and persuasive in solving client problems or recommending new ideas and strategies
- Understanding of the importance of documentation and utilization of tracking tools (CRM hygiene, pipeline management)
- Adaptable to change in a fast-moving digital talent market
The main additions I made:
- Title now calls out the practice area upfront
- Role types listed give candidates a concrete sense of who they'd be placing (Researchers, UI Designers, Design Systems folks, etc.)
- Client context speaks to digital transformation, SaaS, and e-commerce — common UX/UI hiring environments
- Tool fluency (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) added as a soft qualifier so candidates know design literacy matters
- Org navigation language added so it's clear they'll be working across design, product, and engineering stakeholders
