We provide a customized, cost competitive test solution for Silicon Labs products on a global scale. This is a role that requires an innovative spirit, the desire to create solutions that serve both developers and manufacturing environments, and a healthy appetite for troubleshooting. Through our proprietary test platform, we deliver game-changing product development and manufacturing advantages. We are looking for a talented and driven engineer, savvy in both application-level hardware design and software development to join the team in creating the hardware for the next generation tester for our company’s continuously evolving product roadmap.

What you will do:

  • Design our next generation ATE to enable the IoT revolution

  • Consolidate inputs from product roadmap, test strategy and manufacturing constraints to form a formal design framework for the next generation tester and feature description.

  • Evaluate design tradeoffs and make final decisions on approach(es)

  • Design and test prototype circuits, writing control code in embedded C

  • Characterize the final designs

  • Support adoption of the new test system by developers and production partners

  • Familiarity with lab equipment including spectrum analyzers and signal generators

  • Experience with embedded systems and firmware development

  • Working knowledge of signal integrity issues, simulations, and solutions

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with IoT product security methodologies and techniques

  • Experience in test development with traditional test platforms (Teradyne, Advantest, Credence, etc.)

  • Coding in C and Python preferred with a focus on readability, reliability and scalability.

  • Consistently employ software best practices including linting, revision control, and participating in peer reviews, Git preferred
