Job Description:

As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for effectively leading and managing all aspects of the hotel and for delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on driving and ensuring the satisfaction of Team Members, Guests, Sales, and Profitability.

Experience:

  • Hotel Management / Supervisor level at a large hotel: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Luxury or Lifestyle hotel as a senior manager with Front Office and F&B experience

Key responsibilities:

  • Follow the laws and regulations of the state and local authorities, draw up internal rules of order, safety, hygiene, etc., and control their observance
  • Functioning as the primary strategic leader of the hotels with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and Team Members' satisfaction, financial performance, and sales and revenue generation
  • Analyzing business results, working with the leadership team to develop effective strategies to address needs, making critical decisions, overseeing execution, and ensuring appropriate resources are available to achieve business results.
  • Brand standards are met to meet or exceed guest expectations, and follow-up actions are communicated to the team as needed.
  • Drive the sales culture in the hotel through active involvement in the sales process, including engaging with the senior leadership team to develop effective revenue management strategies and setting aggressive goals that will drive the property’s financial performance.
  • Control all operational expenses in collaboration with appropriate department heads to ensure the hotel's smooth operations.
  • Monitoring actual sales and revenues to determine variance and assess goal accomplishments
  • Creating an environment in which all Team Members can reach their full potential
  • Manage the hotel team members' HR-related topics in collaboration with the corporate office.
  • Welcome and conduct new team member orientation.
  • Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees.
  • Build excellent relations with outside contacts.
  • Make time to interact with guests to hear feedback and build relationships to understand how team members can increase guest satisfaction.
  • Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.

What we need from you

  • Your passion, energy, and positive hospitality outlook
  • You have experience in any operational role in the hotel/tourism industry.
  • You have an intense Front Office Experience
  • You have experience in F&B management.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and guest service skills.
  • You have a university degree in business administration, hotel/hospitality management, or other relevant field.
  • You have strong leadership skills.
  • You are hands-on and focused on delivering results with solid attention to detail.
  • You can independently plan and organize your own working time and that of your Team Members.
  • You have a good knowledge of English (knowledge of other languages such as Spanish will be an advantage).
