The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is looking for a collaborative team player to fill the position of Conferral Assistant Registrar I within the Office of The University Registrar. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Registrar for Conferral you will be asked to contribute to the efficient operation of the Student Records and Conferral team, which is responsible for the student record up to the completion of the program. You will focus on the maintenance of the program evaluation and the accurate audit and conferral of student programs while maintaining the integrity of university policies. You will ensure best practices, which includes application of available tools, university systems and policies by:

  • Deliver customer service while serving on the "front lines" of the main Registrar telephone line as a periodic "Go to Person" (G2P) or when/if working on campus to students, faculty, and staff with registrar-related questions.

  • Carry out assigned commencement responsibilities.

  • Be a resource for team members.

In this Role You'll Get To:

  • Ensure learners receive quality experiences by assisting students, staff, and faculty in a manner that is sensitive to the issues at hand while complying with institutional procedures.

  • Identify, correct, and collaborate to reduce/correct data inaccuracies to ensure accurate learner records.

  • Identify process inefficiencies.

  • Conduct daily second audits for students who have submitted a petition for conferral, and record and update remaining program requirements.

  • Ensure students receive degree audit results.

  • Complete final program audits to ensure program requirements are satisfied.

  • Confer students and apply appropriate Latin Honors.

  • Manage Service Portal requests and provide accurate information on program questions to university members.

  • Research academic program deficiencies by looking into Petitions to Amend Degree Requirements, exceptions and overrides, transfer credits, and problems with academic programming.

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and the equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Complete two successful years of experience working in a professional setting.
