Job Description:

The Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers is a multidisciplinary, community-based nonprofit working to improve care for people with complex health and social needs in the city of Camden, New Jersey, and across the country. We develop and test care management models and redesign systems in partnership with consumers, community members, health systems, community-based organizations, government agencies, payers, and more, with the goal of achieving person-centered, equitable care.

The Communications Assistant plays a vital role on the Communications and Content Development team as we work to tell the organization’s story and make the case for better care for those who need it most. Under direction of the Director of Communications and Content Development, the Communications Assistant is responsible for creating and maintaining organized systems for our media, documents, and processes; performing ongoing website maintenance; and helping to share our work via social media, newsletters, and more.

The ideal Communications Assistant is highly organized and detail oriented, with an innate drive to create structure out of chaos. Curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills and tools and a team player attitude are a must. General communications skills, including writing, digital marketing, basic graphic design and web development, and basic photography/videography are all a plus.
