Chief Finance & Operations Officer

A philanthropically-backed impact investment platform accelerating sustainable infrastructure seeks a Chief Finance & Operations Officer to establish fiscal strategy and processes powering considerable global growth. Supporting the CEO, the ideal candidate will direct finance initiatives, drive cross-functional excellence, and promote operational risk management through oversight enhancements.

 

Compensation: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 + bonus

Location: New York City

 

Core Leadership Responsibilities

  • Direct daily accounting, financial operations, and fund administration
  • Manage compliance, audits, budgets, grants, and reporting
  • Negotiate contracts with key advisors and vendors
  • Architect and ensure seamless systems integrations
  • Lead financial planning and budgeting initiatives
  • Oversee HR, payroll, onboarding, and core operations

 

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years finance experience; nonprofit background ideal
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • High effectiveness in balancing multiple priorities
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to influence executive stakeholders
  • Passion for accelerating sustainable climate infrastructure
