STATUS: Exempt

WORKING HOURS: Typically, between 9-5pm M-F.

WORK LOCATION: Remote. (AR, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, NH, NJ, RI, TX, VA) Preference for people based in Eastern & Central time zones. Could also base at our Corp office in Bedford, MA (32 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730) Some travel may be required (5-10%).

 


POSITION PURPOSE:

Thermacell is seeking a new member for our fast-growing Amazon Business. This role reports to the Senior Director of Sales, Global Amazon & eCommerce. The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for planning, analyzing, and optimizing the Amazon sales forecast, promotional event analytics, promotional budget pacing and optimization as well as owning market share analytics and insights for Amazon globally. They will collaborate with the Senior Sales Director and our outside sales agency to drive business insights, flag areas of risk and opportunity, and enforce workflows across sales team, operations team, accounts receivables to drive key KPIs for the Amazon business. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about business analytics and insights, excels in a fast-paced environment, has strong organization skills and attention to detail and loves working on Amazon businesses and in the eCommerce space.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Success will look like an employee who leverages their technical and analytics skills to deliver insights and recommendations to help improve our sales forecast accuracy for Amazon, excels at promotional analytics and budget optimization as well as taking ownership of Amazon market share and builds process of analyzing and reporting share to cross functional team members. Must be a self-starter with advanced excel skills and the ability to quickly on-board new systems. This individual will have strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally driving process across internal teams and external agencies for their areas of responsibility.

 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, track performance and pacing against the Amazon Sales Forecast. Identify areas of risk / opportunity to Senior Sales Director and agency partners.
  • Own Amazon internal forecasting process from prepping monthly forecast documents and working with internal and external stakeholders to updating forecasting and pricing with goal of improving forecast accuracy.
  • Own weekly PO management process with Operations by reviewing incoming orders, forecasts, and POS to ensure we are adhering to Amazon SLAs and provide recommendations for improvements in process.
  • Own promotional spend management and optimization for the Amazon US business, working with accounts receivables to validate promotional performance, working with Commercial lead to communicate promotional plans to key stakeholders and working with Senior Sales Director and Finance to optimize budget for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales Director, Accounts Receivable and external agency partners on monthly deductions management process.
  • Own Amazon Market Share reporting tool and provide bi-weekly reporting and analytics for Amazon US and other global Amazon businesses for Thermacell and our competitors.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analytics for Amazon Global Business to help facilitate best practice sharing and track key business trends for Thermacell and competitors.
  • Will be a key partner in our financial analysis process working with Senior Sales Director and Finance to conduct support financial analysis as needed.
  • Build and maintain NetSuite dashboards for the Amazon Business, track daily and weekly KPIs, and optimize operational day to day processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Support analytics needed for internal and external presentations to key stakeholders and customers.

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and an annual incentive bonus tied to company and individual performance goals. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level & 10 paid company holidays. Additionally, a company shut-down period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
