In this job shop environment, you will have 100-120 work orders in process simultaneously comprised of both tooling, development and production requirements. Production parts are comprised of aftermarket wheels and wheel components and space/aerospace product. The ability to organize and manage a high number of priorities is of paramount importance. Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop policies, practices and systems that ensure the smooth and reliable flow of materials through the production process.
· Issue work orders as appropriate to shop for customer and internal orders.
· Create and maintain production schedules to ensure customer commitments are being met and work is efficiently scheduled in the shop.
· Communicate plan changes to relevant functions throughout the organization.
· Provide reliable commit dates from functional department heads to support customer orders.
· Responsible for ensuring all labor and material transaction on work orders are being charged accurately and in a timely manner.
· Ensure transactions on production work orders are being completed properly and correctly.
Education / Experience
· BA or BS in appropriate field.
· 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Prior experience with planning/scheduling in a job cost manufacturing environment preferred.
· Comfortable working with ERP systems.
· Good organization, communications and time management skills.
· Proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel)
