We are looking for a mid-level Frontend Web Developer for our innovative dashboard visualization technology as well as our fast-growing Portal application. This position will work with our dashboard and engineering team to develop existing and new features/integrations, along with providing technical support to customers in regard to their dashboard applications.
First Arriving is a fast-growing technology and marketing company serving public safety and local government based in Richmond, Virginia with clients across North America.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications written in React.
- Provide support impacting web applications.
- Collaborate with the backend team.
- Integrate First Arriving systems with REST API services.
- Provide additional client facing support, as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years professional experience with JavaScript.
- Computer Science or related field (Software Engineering, Web Development) bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
- Proficient in JavaScript, including jQuery and React.
- Well versed in CSSKnowledge of REST APIs, as well as ability to work with different data formats such as XML and JSON.
- Experience with git.
- Experience with project management software, such as Jira.
- Bash proficiency.
- Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal skills while communicating with customers as well as employees.
- Strong time management skills.
Bonus
- Experience with Node.js, PHP, or other backend languages.
- Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- QA experience.
- Experience with websockets.
- CI/CD experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
