Our large Healthcare client in Louisville., KY is actively seeking Hospital Switchboard Operators to join our Telecom team. As a Hospital Switchboard Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective communication within our healthcare system. This position is especially important during the Holiday season as we prepare for coverage, accommodate staff advancements, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Handle all emergency codes within the hospital, ensuring swift and accurate response.
- Utilize the hospital's communication systems to overhead page and relay important messages.
- Maintain a basic understanding of Epic (EMR) software for patient information retrieval.
- Work with Vocera, Konveant (main hospital switchboard directory), Scrolls, and Epic software to facilitate efficient communication.
- Adapt quickly to new software and technology tools as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in switchboard operations is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of Epic (EMR) software is a plus.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively overhead page and manage critical communications.
- Proficiency with computers and a willingness to learn new software applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Vocera, Konveant, Scrolls, and Epic software is advantageous.
- Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
