SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC relocated to Surprise, AZ from Fowler, CA in 2019. SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is one of the companies under the umbrella of Seattle-Tacoma Box Company headquartered in Kent, WA. Currently, Seattle-Tacoma Box Company conducts manufacturing and supports assembly operations and warehouses in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. Seattle-Tacoma Box Company is the parent company of SeaCa Packaging, Inc. operating in Dinuba and Stockton, CA, SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC operating in Surprise, AZ, and our most recent addition to the family, Harvest House Packaging, LLC operating in Holtville, CA.

The company collectively specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of corrugated, corrugated plastic and wooden packaging used throughout the food industry. Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California, and Arizona. SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is an industry pioneer in the production of plastic corrugated products used throughout the food industry.

This is an operator level position for work in a manufacturing environment. Training is provided to help you grow your career. You will be joining a crew of 3-9 people working as a team to accomplish the operating goals of the shift. Bonus pay can be earned as a member of the team that achieves their manufacturing goal. Work week is either 3 or 4 days or 7 days every 14 calendar days, you will have 50% of your days off. Typically, you earn 74 ½ hours of regular pay plus 6 hours overtime every 2-week rotation.

Work to be reviewed in 90 days, 180 days, and annually. All other reviews after will be annually or as needed.

Responsible for the plant safety and to exercise good judgement in all operations. Operate a machine to cut plastic polypropylene sheets into containers. Responsible for monitoring employees pre-feeding sheets into Die cutter and stacking of finished product.

  • Reads and evaluates factory card, CAD drawings, follows production schedules, prioritizes, and organizes
  • Sets-up machine, hangs die board, and sets up pre-feeder
  • Operates the machine, performing setups, monitoring, cleaning, and adjustments
  • Operates pre-feeder, or stacker
  • Monitors machine for bad sheets, wrong loads on rollers, etc.
  • Inspect all dies before and after product run to ensure that the necessary repairs are made
  • Fills out “Quality Checklist” compares test samples to information located on checklist
  • Sweeps floor, keeps work area clean and organized
  • Helps to initiate, recommend, and provide solutions with supervisors and co-workers, and help verify the implementation of solutions
  • Sets up the stacker to ensure neat stacks using correct dunnage and pattern specified on job ticket
  • Determines appropriate machine speed to meet production goals while maintaining consistent quality
  • Double checks to make sure load quantities and load tags are correct for the order
  • Recognize nonconforming products and advises operator
  • Preps for upcoming orders by staging dies, dunnage, print load tags. Inspects to insure all is correct and/or in good working order
  • Completes order in computer, fills out last load sheet. Fills out quantity, date, and prints last load tag at correct quantity
  • Keeps area clean and organized
  • Performs similar job duties as required

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Writing, mathematical skills, and a basic mechanical understanding
  • Two or more years’ experience with machine operation, preference in die cutting
  • Experience with die cutters/flatbed cutters
  • Possesses the knowledge to work safely with available tools and chemicals

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to handle high stress environment
  • Ability to withstand dusty and noisy conditions
  • Ability to lift 50-80 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
