Meridian Premier Homes develops and builds Class A Single Family Residences (SFR) for sale to homeowners or investors in the greater Memphis TN area, including northern MS. ESTIMATING & PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

The Estimating & Procurement Coordinator (EPC) works closely with our Executive and Construction Management teams in budgeting and tracking the financial performance of our home building projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Solicit quotes for labor and materials on all jobs and help Mgmt select and/or assign work to vendors and subcontractors via Purchase Orders.

● Build and Manage construction budgets for each Meridian house plan and project, working within our BuilderTrend construction management software.

● Regularly present reports on trade partner base, relationship development and pricing.

● Collaborate with construction personnel to ensure specifications meet Meridian standards.

● Manage subcontractor and vendor bid process.

● Maintain active vendor files, compliance documents, and pricing.

● Act as key communicator/coordinator between different departments in regards to purchasing related activities (departments include Estimating, Design, Sales, Production);

● Track construction variances and initiate fact-based solutions in order to reduce future variances;

● Maintaining accurate vendor listings and pricing.

● Collaborate with Superintendents and senior management to explore value engineering ideas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

● 2+ years’ experience in Construction Management / Estimating, or a strong background in Cost Accounting, Construction Accounting or Manufacturing Accounting.

● Experience with BuilderTrend or other Construction or Manufacturing Management software is a huge plus.

● Must be highly competent in Excel and other Microsoft Suite products

● Working knowledge of estimating and purchase order systems

● Strong trade management skills

Additional Requirements

● Self-motivated, able to work productively with little direction or supervision.

● Team orientated. Enjoys and works well with others in order to achieve results

● Strong problem solving skills.

Working Conditions

● Predominantly works in office environment, but will require some field work from time to time.
