Summary:
This role will interface with our studios teams including but not limited to LA, NY, Europe, and Asia, as well as our community of immersive creators around the globe. A deep understanding of entertainment, immersive storytelling, experiential design and the technologies that power them is a must, as is a strong track record of bringing immersive experiences from concept to execution. The position is equal parts production management, creative oversight, and the selection, use, validation, and optimization of technology. This position works closely with our Cosm Studios, Live Action Immersive Team, and CG/Postproduction teams to execute the Cosm Media programming slate for our upcoming venues, including Los Angeles and Dallas.
The Producer is primarily responsible for internal experiential and interactive content management and will manage and track multiple projects from conception through design, production, and integration into Cosm venues. The producer will interface with multiple teams and departments ranging from creative design, technical production, engineering, and product management. Additionally, this role will manage vendors and freelancers based on game design, visual effects, and engineering. They will work in coordination with management to define production schedules, resources, and projections for future challenges and issues. They will establish and maintain production tracking for sprints, dailies, and long-term planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day production for select Cosm Studios Originals across experiential cinema, immersive art and entertainment genres
  • Validate that the technical production design and execution by 3rd party creators are capable of delivering to Cosm specification and scheduled postings by creators are to standard and quality controlled.
  • Manage the magic throughout the comprehensive pipeline including modeling, texturing, lighting, shading, animation, rendering, optimization, visual effects, scripting, and compositing for real-time and pre-rendered deliverables.
  • Works closely with 3rd party creators to meet technological requirements, production timelines, budgets and milestone deliverables.
  • Advise, support creative direction, and ensure Leadership buy-in on:
  • Story architecture, scripting, experience, and narrative design
  • Look development and visual effects
  • Interactive, responsive, and real-time programming
  • Music and sound design
  • Run of show, operations, and activation
  • Support artists who work hybrid remote, communicate timeline requirements, ensure they consistently deliver high-quality work, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Maintain organizational, file, and time management skills. Ability to manage, prioritize, and triage, multiple projects, tasks, and updates simultaneously while performing artistically and updating timelines for delivery.
  • Schedule, capture, clean up, and disseminate feedback from Creative Management and Executive team to the artists and creators.
  • Collaborate closely with a cross disciplinary team (Design, Motion, Product, IT, and Engineering).
  • Help manage vendor and partner relationships with knowledge of their capabilities and SOW.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of eight years of experience as a top-tier studio game, VFX studio, and/or post-production producer
  • Strong experience in the Unreal and traditional rendered production pipelines
  • Strong experience with real-time and post production tracking software including Jira, ShotGrid, Notion, and Perforce as well as the DCCs for media production and their strategic uses including limitations and staffing resource availability and costs
  • Substantial working knowledge of media file formats and management, render farm architecture and management, and real-time render pipelines
  • Proven experience creating compelling worlds and environments
  • Experience in working with a cross-functional, distributed team, agile methodologies as plus
  • Excellent time management skills

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $100,000-$125,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
