Job Description:

Our client, a global manufacturer of commodity and specialty chemical products for a wide variety of applications, is seeking an Account Manager  to be responsible for the sales development and account management of customers in the personal care product market. This position will assume management of active accounts in an established region.  This individual contributor role will collaborate with  global counterparts to nurture and grow existing relationships as well as find new opportunities and accounts in the personal care market space. Daily activities include customer pricing, forecasting, inventory management, provide regulatory, quality and technical support to customers, advise internal technical resources of market trends, and manage ongoing customer projects. This is a fully remote position, ideally located in the Eastern United States. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned portfolio of accounts in the personal care products market to drive sales increases and improve profitability of the product line.
  • Effectively collaborate with other functions including Customer Service, Technical Service, Marketing, Production and Management to collectively achieve customer satisfaction and business objectives.
  • Create and deliver impactful Sales Reports, Target Account plans and Forecasts in a timely manner.
  • Employ CRM tools in an effective manner to manage sales information, activities and communications.
  • Sell value while negotiating and implementing customer supply agreements and contracts.
  • Plan and manage business travel, entertainment and expense budgets.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences or Business.
  • At least 3years of successful chemical industry sales experience in a technical sales role serving customers in personal care products markets of interest.
  • Prior experience managing complex, global accounts is desirable. .
  • Ability to effectively plan business travel to maximize impact.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using a CRM, SAP, APO Forecasting Tool for production and planning, and Microsoft Office.

 

This position offers a base salary + strong incentive compensation + company car + full benefit and retirement package.
