The Challenge
We are hiring a laboratory technician to join our Asphalt Testing Lab team.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct Superpave AASHTO and ASTM tests in the Asphalt Performance Testing Laboratory.
- Accurately communicate test results to the Asphalt Materials Design Engineer.
- Perform detailed testing and analysis of asphalt viscosity, rheology, and aging.
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of laboratory equipment.
- Assist our lead testing technician in upholding AASHTO re:Source accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the Asphalt Quality Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve asphalt PG performance issues related to production, storage, or distribution of bituminous products.
What You Bring
- Knowledge of techniques, practices, and testing procedures related to asphalt materials.
- Computer experience using Microsoft Office and HiCAMS.
- Experience coordinating and communicating effectively with other team members to achieve a common goal.
- Experience creating and maintaining routine records and reports.
- Experience safely handling laboratory equipment.
- You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a team environment and contributes positively to group dynamics.
- You are a curious and eager learner who is proactive and always willing to expand your knowledge and skills.
- You are an innovative thinker with a creative mind who can think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table.
- You are highly organized and excel at managing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

Education & Experience
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, and
- 2+ years relevant technician-level experience; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
